Why are my genitals itching?

My penis itches like crazy each time I go to the toilet for a piss. It's done this for as long as I can remember, but got worse recently. I've heard that yoghurt is good for this type of thing. I've eaten a big pot this morning, but it still itches.

Do you have a rash on the head of your penis or is it sore when you go for a piss?

If you have a rash then it might be that you have thrush. This is a common infection, which is not sexually transmitted and is caused by a fungus. If you use some Clotrimazole cream from your chemist this should sort out the problem. If this does not work, go along to your local sexual health clinic for a check up.

If you have pain when you go for a pee then you may very well have a sexually transmitted infection in the tube of your penis. To get this checked out and treated you should go along to your local sexual health (GUM) clinic. Find your nearest clinic in the Where to get help section of this website.
